If you’re selling something online the images you use to showcase your product to a potential buyer are one of the key factors required to persuade the consumer to make the purchase.
Using DIY photos with the wrong lighting not only comes across as unprofessional but your conversion rates (turning browsers into buyers) will suffer.
We have developed a system of taking excellent product photos of just about anything placed on a pure white background. We do it well and we do it affordably.
Products are positioned head on or angled towards the camera on a white reflective surface. We adjust the exposure to the point where the background becomes pure white but the product is not negatively affected with bounced light wrapping around it. We then light the product separately, ensuring that it looks its best.
R60 per image.
White products, glassware, highly polished items, jewellery, any products that require assembly.
Similar to the standard pack shot but where the product requires additional post production, such as adding a clipping path to remove the background entirely.
R120 per image
The easiest way to benefit from the content that we produce for our YouTube channel is to sponsor the links that we place in the description of the video. For example, if we have produced a video about a product that you sell we will link directly to that product in the video description and use a generic call to action in the content of the video. Normally this would be an affiliate marketing link, but as this form of marketing hasn’t really caught on in South Africa we’re doing it slightly differently.
We typically sell these links to suppliers on an annual basis, but because we’re a brand new channel with no audience yet we’re giving away links for free while we build up our channel audience (subscribers and views). Once we have good traction we will assess the value of the links and price them accordingly.
If we give you a free link you are under no obligation to pay for it. Unless you really want to. 😎
If you like what we’re doing with our channel, we invite you to send us your product and if we like it we will make a video about it at no cost to you other than the product itself. Obviously we’re not going to spend many hours making videos about low Rand value products, but this will obviously depend on the product, how much of it you supply and whether we need it in our lives. 🤠
It’s free, man!
Get in touch, tell us what you want to send and we’ll give you an address to send it to. Unless it’s bubble gum. We don’t like bubble gum.
If you’ve been watching as much YouTube as we have (don’t ask, don’t tell) you’ll have come across many videos that are sponsored by companies who provide great products or services. Sometimes these are sponsorships that take the form of an included narrative about the product or service in the content of the video. For example, many YouTubers get approached by companies like Squarespace to get them to punt their service, even though it may have nothing to do with the video being produced. The narrator or presenter will say something like “This video is sponsored by XYZ” and they will go on to talk about the sponsor for a few seconds (normally about 30).
Best to get in touch with us. We’ll look at the product / service you’re selling and see if it will fit with any of the generic content we’re making for the channel.
If you like the way we make videos you can commission us to make one especially for you that you can use on your own channel or wherever you want to.
Definitely best to get in touch with us and let us know what you have in mind as well as the production budget.
Quality service is the backbone of our existence. If we are not moving heaven and earth to get you a satisfactory result then we wouldn’t be comfortable charging you for any of the services we provide.
Born in the wake of global lockdowns, Productability is a new service outfit made up of carefully honed and reimagined old services that will make online selling just a little bit easier for online entrepreneurs.
